How do you make an enormous idea felt before it is understood?

The speed of light and the distances of space are easy to state but difficult to experience. Lightspeed for Kids begins with that gap: how can an interface turn a number that feels abstract into a moment a child can connect to?

The work keeps the underlying science intact while changing the path into it. The objective is not to make physics smaller, but to make it emotionally legible.

02 · Translation

Simplification removes meaning; translation gives it a way in.

Instead of replacing the facts with empty spectacle, the experience uses comparisons, pacing, and small stories to bridge cosmic scale and everyday reference. Wonder opens the door, then explanation and comparison give that wonder a durable shape.

Designing for younger learners raises the bar for clarity. If an idea cannot be explained plainly without distorting it, the problem is usually not the learner—it is the explanation.

03 · Collaboration

AI accelerated exploration while human judgment held the line.

AI made it possible to test many narrative and visual directions quickly. The designer's work remained the essential part: establishing the learning arc, protecting the integrity of the physics, and judging which variation invited curiosity without becoming patronizing.

The result treats AI as an implementation partner for exploration, leaving intention, taste, and responsibility with the person directing the experience.
